Create an RSS Feed for your Blogger/Blogspot Site
I've been noticing a lot of Blogger-hosted blogs don't have an RSS feed. Back in the day this was understandable because regular Blogger didn't offer it, it was only available on Blogger Pro. But since Blogger was purchased by Google, it's now available for the masses, free. I will make another post later to explain what an RSS feed is and why you would want one, but for right now I'll simply post instructions on how to set up an RSS feed for your Blogger/Blogspot site. It's easy. In the Blogger control panel, pick your blog that you want to RSS-enable. Click on the "Settings" tab. Click on the link that says "Site Feed". Set "Publish Site Feed" to "Yes". For "Descriptions" set this to "Short". This will conserve bandwidth and help send people to your site, because they will have to go to your site to see the full post. Click save settings. Now republish your blog. Voila! We have RSS! Blog readers like Bloglines will automagically detect the RSS feed! If you want to make it blatantly obvious that you offer an RSS feed, you can add a nice RSS image to your site and link it to the feed URL. That belongs in a discussion of templates, which will be a later post.

A typical Saturday night for me: "The male taps the female with his forelegs, sings a specific courtship song by extending and vibrating a wing, licks her genitalia, and then curls his abdomen for copulation."

one word. so little time.
You have 60 seconds to write stream-of-consiousness style based on a single word. Then you can view what other people wrote based on the same world. pretty cool.
